Giveaway from Clemson Girl

Clemson Girl has a great Lilly Pulitzer giveaway today!  Her sponsor is Razzberry Fizz, a great little gift shop in downtown Clemson.  Razzberry Fizz is gearing up for summer and graduation and has a lot of new inventory.  You can also check them out on Facebook.  I love their Clemson stuff, isn't this wreath adorable??

They do carry other sports teams if you are not a Clemson fan.  They can personalize, and the store is just adorable.  They carry a variety of other items that make great gifts all year long.  Like these really cute aprons!

So head over to Clemson Girl and sign up for the giveaway.  Deadline is tomorrow Friday Jan 28, at noon!

I will be posting about a craft project I am working on soon, I have to get some pictures taken

Up close

I have started the 365 project, in which you take a photo a day for a year.  There are some days when I struggle for what to take a picture of!  This happened to me last Thursday and as I was stitching my mind was turning over ideas, I thought why not take up close shots of my WIP??  Here are a few of the results of that idea

My BF and I visited the State Museum over the weekend, that has been awhile since both of us have been there.  I remembered some of the exhibits, and there were some new things.  I thought it was neat that Clemson students built and flew their own airplane, the Clemson 372.  It is now in the State Museum.  How cool!
Just some other pictures from the Museum

Snow!

It snowed early this morning and then turned into sleet and then freezing rain.  So the pretty snow turned into yucky ice by the end of the day.  So today was a productive day of stitching.  Will post pictures of progress on Wednesday!  But here is a picture I managed to get before the ice came.

I am alternating between my cross stitch project and my knitting project and I took some shots of the blanket in progress.

Hope to get more done in the morning, while waiting for the ice to melt.

Totally Useless Stitch A Long

I joined the TUSAL hosted by Its Daffycat, click here for info.  I have always heard that keeping the snippets is good luck for stitchers.  The snippets from my first project at as a teenager are saved in a jelly jar covered with a tiny lace circle.  Since then I have kept all of my snippets in…….

…..yep a plastic bag.  The picture does not do justice to the amount of ORTs that are there because this little sandwich bag is packed with thread.  So for the purposes of TUSAL I am recycling a triangular candle jar.  Candle jars are easy to repurpose, just put them in the freezer for about two hours and the wax comes out fairly easily, and then just wash the jar.  I plan on keeping this snippet jar for decoration, and I might divide up this bag and make some neat little ornaments like Charlene at Needle in Hand.
My Wordless Wednesday posts will be updates on a secret WIP for a friend.  It is also my project for the TUSAL.
Happy Stitching!
